AI. A Revolution That Will Change Our Lives

On 8 Nov. 2023, NTD Television published an interview of our founder about the forthcoming release of his book "AI. A Revolution That Will Change Our Lives". Check it out! 00:00 - Summary
00:57 - Introduction
01:37 - Why are you interested in artificial intelligence?
04:58 - What is AI?
08:15 - What criticisms do you have of artificial intelligence?
33:04 - The pseudo-optimists and the realists
43:21 - How can we manage this global revolution?
51:48 - Keeping hope alive.

Why and how did Mr Aubrée-Dauchez become interested in AI? His motto is something of an oxymoron: "Disrupt Sensibly". In general, when it comes to new technologies, this company director likes to get his hands dirty. In 2017, he took an online course at Princeton University on Bitcoin and blockchain. In 2018, as his consultancy company, Koosai (koosai.co), has been an official Google partner for several years, he had the opportunity to take the certification entitled "Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals". Specifically on AI, his 2019 article was seminal; it enabled him to understand the evolution underway through a field that he has mastered and practised for 40 years, chess, and therefore to be able to extrapolate it to other less 'modelable' fields.

He recently wrote "Blockchain is to the commoditisation of processes relating to goods and services what artificial intelligence is to the commoditisation of human thought".

What is AI? Artificial intelligence that claims to be superior or equal to human intelligence. AI is becoming multi-modal and 'general' (AGI), which implies risks and opportunities.

In his research, Mr Aubrée-Dauchez has highlighted a battle of ideas between pseudo-optimists and realists, which he decodes using Max Weber-style ideal-types. For the expert, talking about AI immediately touches on economic, political and societal issues - in short, human issues.

A case for deploying global business services in medium to large organisations
By Suzie Evans 30 Jun, 2021
For optimising support functions and to keep up with the pace of change, both public and private business leaders need to develop flexible organisational structures and operating models; in that respect, shared services stand out as an imperative. Shared services are organisational units that manage certain activities of the support functions with the aim of providing the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and in particular obtain economies of scale. The main means used in the context of global shared services for achieving productivity gains, identifying trends and detecting new opportunities so that the business can stay ahead are: i. adoption of a cloud strategy, ii. deployment of a unified agile system and iii. Leveraging automation.

An analysis on challenges posed by AI to human activities in the context of chess ending with a note of hope. We can teach children to play and revive the game which will survive if it does not forget to remain what it should never have ceased to be: a game.
Using Blockchain To Reshape Mobile Telephony Processes
By Suzie Evans 13 Nov, 2019
New blockchain applications emerge every day. Many industries, including Telecom, are now looking into implementing it and leverage efficiencies it brings. In this article, we review the addressable market and the problems currently encountered by MNOs. Then, we assess how the blockchain can solve these problems and list the main use cases. Next, we outline challenges posed by technology. Finally, as usual in our contributions, we do call for action.

GDPR. Don’t Leave It To Lawyers!
By Suzie Evans 08 Jun, 2018
As a matter of fact, one should rather say don’t leave it only to the lawyers; just that we were told that tag-lines should be the shortest possible. First, let’s quickly recap what brought us to this 4-letter word. Next, let’s understand how the system has been rigged to benefit mostly to the lawyers; of course, officially for the Common Good. Then, let’s see how to fix the situation for bringing back the Spirit behind highly welcome changes at the expense of the Letter. Deep dive here .
